The Rejoice! Community Church will hold their 21st annual Thanksgiving dinner this Thursday.
Starting at 11am, community members can visit the church’s building in Le Mars to either dine-in or take out a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Menu items include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, and a dinner roll.
The dinner is open to everyone, and according to Margaret Catton, one of the Turkey Team Committee members, over 600 meals are delivered a year on average. Over 70 volunteers will help out on Thanksgiving day, and a total of 78 turkeys have been roasted for the dinner.
Meals will be served from 11am until 1pm on Thursday. To have your meal delivered, you can call 712-548-4430 to request a delivery.
