Le Mars boys basketball comes up just short against fifth-ranked Western Christian

The Le Mars Community boys basketball team battled hard with fifth-ranked Western Christian but came up short on Thursday by the score of 67-60.

Up until the fourth quarter, Le Mars was throwing off Western’s offense with some different looks defensively. Head coach Cody Dyhrkopp says those changes defensively kept his team in the ball game.

Le Mars was down by as much as 13 points throughout the game, and they found a way to get it within a possession with less than a minute to go. Coach Dyhrkopp says he loved the intensity from his team down the stretch.

The Bulldogs will continue their slate of basketball against another good offensive team with a road game at Sioux City West. Coach Dyhrkopp says his team has to ready for an offensive that has multiple weapons.

Le Mars’ matchup with Sioux City West can be heard on KLEM Radio.
