Le Mars girls basketball drops close matchup with Western Christian

The Le Mars girls basketball team suffered a close non-conference loss on Thursday dropping a 56-50 ball game at Western Christian.

Once again, Le Mars was able to spread out their scoring with three different players scoring 10-or-more points. Head coach Sidney Ruden says the ball movement was great to make that happen, but it was not consistent enough.

After being down 12 early in the game, the Bulldogs got right back to work in the second quarter making it a three-point game at the half. Coach Ruden says that quarter showed the girls what they could do on offense.

Le Mars has just three more games left before the regional tournament begins. Coach Ruden knows playing postseason basketball means playing good defense, and she is looking for her team to close out the regular season strong on defense.

Le Mars returns to action on a back-to-back night taking Sioux City West on the road. That game can be heard on KLEM Radio.
