The Sioux County Youth Fair kicked off over the weekend, with seven days of fun activities, youth competitions, and entertainment at the Sioux County Ag & Expo Center north of Sioux Center. Alongside the livestock shows put on by 4-H and FFA members, the fair features major events such as the Skid Loader Olympics tonight and tomorrow, Monster Arm Wrestling and a Demolition Derby tomorrow, a greased pig contest on Thursday, and the annual Sioux County Fair Dance on Friday evening.
This is the third year the fair has been based at the Ag & Expo Center, and fair marketing manager Tara Kooiker told KLEM the location’s larger space has allowed for more growth overall.
Kooiker says the weeklong fair is an annual fixture on the calendar for Sioux County residents.
The 2026 Sioux County Youth Fair will run from now until Friday, July 17th, with free admission for most activities. For a full list of events and for more information about the fair, visit siouxcountyfair.org.
