Gehlen Catholic will be celebrating their homecoming this Friday, September 18th, with a number of activities planned. Amy Jungers, the Gehlen Catholic School Development Director, spoke about the festivities.
The special guest parade marshals will be Sherry Jo Wittkop and her family.
KLEM will be at the coronation and parade to provide live coverage of the festivities on 1410 AM/96.9 FM and will have live video coverage on the KLEM YouTube channel.

Le Mars School Board position filled
A new member of the Le Mars Community School Board was sworn in at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, September 14th. Tim Meyer will fill the Director District 2 position through November 8th, 2027. Meyer is employed at Wells Enterprises. The position had been held by Aaron Tolzin who resigned due to moving out of the district.

Wells New York facility honored by Dairy Foods Magazine
The Wells Enterprises facility in Dunkirk, New York has been named the 2026 Dairy Foods Plant of the Year by Dairy Foods Magazine. The facility hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony in August and is expected to fully finish construction next year. Four production lines are currently operational, with two more lines expected to be completed by the end of this year.
