Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig talks helping farmers, ethanol production, and water quality

On Tuesday afternoon, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig visited KLEM to talk about his work ahead of the upcoming election. He spoke about ways that his administration has helped “young, beginning, and small farmers knock down barriers” that may hinder their operations.

Ethanol production has been a hot topic of debate as gas prices have risen. Secretary Naig weighed in.

Water quality has been a big issue that Naig’s administration has faced.

Naig, a Republican, will oppose Democrat Chris Jones on the ballot.
