WASHINGTON, DC – Forty eighth grade students and seven chaperones from Le Mars Community School learned about government and history through the Washington Workshops Foundation.
According to Senator Chuck Grassley’s written information, he and the students discussed the daily responsibilities of a U. S. Senator and current issues facing the country.
The students were in Washington D-C at the time the new federal budget was being discussed.
The Washington Workshops Foundation is an educational program that creates study tours and seminars for young people.
