Klemme Inducted to 4-H Hall of Fame

(Le Mars) – A well known, well loved and dearly missed man from Plymouth County is being inducted into the State 4-H Hall of Fame at the Iowa State Fair.  Jeff Klemme, who passed away in February, will be honored for his contributions and years of work in connection with the Plymouth County Fair.  His wife Cindy will accept the award on Sunday.

The Plymouth County ISU Extension office nominated Klemme for the award.  His nomination letter describes a man who “loved the fair and spent a lot of time assisting the poultry and sheep departments and ultimately was named sheep superintendent. Jeff’s passion, work ethic, and personality were one of a kind…and he instilled those qualities in many 4-H and FFA youth whose lives he touched in such a positive way.  His three children, Jessica, Cassie and Chance were active members sharing their father’s love of livestock.”  Chance was named this years Plymouth County Fair King.

Again, the late Jeff Klemme will be inducted into the State 4-H Hall of Fame at the Iowa State Fair.  The ceremony takes place at 3:30 this Sunday.
