Ruth Meis, 79, of Alton, Iowa died Friday, July 13, 2012 after a sudden illness at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, IA with Rev. Gerald Hartz officiating and Rev. Paul Eisele, Rev. Robert Gralapp, and Msgr. Kenneth Seifried concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton, Iowa. Visitation will be anytime after 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012. There will be a parish rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
