Le Mars senior Donny Allaway won the third Invitational title of his career, earning a 10-3 victory in the 126-pound title match against A-H-S-T’s Joel Becerra.

Sibley-Ocheyedan crowned five champions Saturday enroute to winning the team title of the Le Mars Wrestling Invitational.  The Generals racked up 239 points with tournament new comer, A-H-S-T, coming in second with 196 points.  Defending champion Sioux City North took third, finishing one-half point ahead of Sioux Center.  West Sioux was fifth, Hinton sixth, Le Mars seventh with South Sioux City, Cherokee, Sheldon/South O’Brien and Sioux City West claiming the final four spots in the 11-team field.  Le Mars senior Donny Allaway won the third Invitational title of his career, earning a 10-3 victory in the 126-pound title match against A-H-S-T’s Joel Becerra.  Fernando Zetina of Le Mars wrestled for the 106-pound championship but lost a 19-11 decision to Jose Flores of Sibley-Ocheyedan.  Hinton had two champions, Skylar Richter at 120 pounds and Daniel Bishop at 182.  The Blackhawks’ Lucas Vondrak was runner-up at 138 and Jordan Gengler took second at 220 pounds.  Le Mars got a third place finish from heavyweight Jesus Diaz and fourth place finishes from Myles Kass at 152 and Travis Theisen at 220.
