(Le Mars) — Floyd Valley Healthcare of Le Mars was recently acknowledged as 2016’s
one of the top 50 Critical Hospitals to Know. The listing appeared in the Becker’s
Hospital Review. Floyd Valley Administrator Mike Donlin shared the news with the
board of trustees during their monthly meeting held Tuesday evening. Donlin says
he first heard of the news from a friend.
Donlin explains the listing is an accumulation of various past honors.
Orange City and Estherville were two other Iowa hospitals to have made the Becker’s
listing.
It has now been two months since the new north addition first opened to see
patients. Donlin says he has heard generally good comments from staff and patients
about the new clinic.
Donlin anticipates the first surgeries in the new upper level surgery centers may
take place within the next few weeks.
