Another Semi Truck Collides With Train

(Remsen) — For the second time within a week there has been another report of a train colliding with a semi truck. This time the accident happened on county road L-14 about a mile east of Remsen. The accident happened this morning at about 11:50 a.m. Remsen Fire Chief Kevin Ortmann says the semi truck pulling a flat-bed trailer was heading southbound on L-14 when it collided with the C-N train heading westbound.

The driver of the semi truck was transported to the Floyd Valley Healthcare with what was described as serious injuries.  Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office along with railroad officials are continuing the investigation.
