(Le Mars) — Authorities responded to a semi truck and trailer accident that happened this morning at about 7:45 a.m. The accident was reported on Highway 75 northbound at the on-ramp at exit 118, or, where Highway 3 intersects Highway
75. The driver, who has not been identified, was transported to Floyd Valley Healthcare by the Le Mars Ambulance. There were no other vehicles involved with the accident. It has not yet been determined as to why the semi truck and trailer left the roadway and entered the ditch. Tire marks show the vehicle
leaving the highway, crossing the on-ramp, and entering the east ditch. Responding to the early morning accident were the Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department, Le Mars Police Department, Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa Department of Motor Vehicle Enforcement.
