Odd Couple: Female Version, Opens at LCT This Week

(Le Mars) – The Le Mars Community Theatre is excited to begin performances of their first show of the 2018 season, The Odd Couple: Female Version by Neil Simon.

It’s all the goodness of the standard version of the Odd Couple, with a few changes to make the hilarity surrounding the mostly female characters as amusing as possible.

Cast member Jennifer Scholten says the fast paced show revolves around two characters: Florence and Olive.  One of them is a slob, the other a neatnik.

During the show we meet Scholten’s character, Vera, at a game of Trivial Pursuit.

Other members of the cast include: Donna Muilenburg and Jill Young at the helm.  Katie Frerichs, Susan Willer, Margaret Britton as well as Scholten complete the ladies contingent. Pete Laskie and Mark Strub round off the cast as the Constanzuela Brothers.

The Odd Couple: Female Version, is set it in the 80’s, so come also to see the fun clothing that been brought up from Le Mars Community Theatre’s vast costuming department.

The show is under the direction of Danna Schuster and is being produced by Audrey Scholten.  It opens this Thursday, February 22nd and runs straight through Wednesday the 28th, encompassing only one weekend. Tickets are on sale now at www.lemarslive.org or by calling theater at 546-5788.
