Melvin Hitzemann, 87, of Akron, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Akron Care Center in Akron.

Due to the present mandated healthcare precautions, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron.
