(Le Mars) — A motorcycle and a car collided Thursday afternoon at the intersection of County Road C-38 and Highway 75, commonly referred to as the NIPCO corner, about two miles southwest of Le Mars. The accident was reported at approximately 2:38 p.m. It is not known the extent of injuries involved, or the number of accident victims. Law enforcement officials with the Le Mars Police Department, Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol all responded to the scene of the accident. In addition, the Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department consisting of firefighters and EMT officials were also at the scene. Traffic on Highway 75 remained open, though both the northbound and the southbound lanes had slowed down as a result of the accident. The Le Mars Police Department is investigating the accident scene.
