(Le Mars) — Based upon one business shop owner’s estimate, there were more than 800 children and families participating in the Le Mars Chamber of Commerce Trick or Treat event. Costumes consisting of super heroes, ghosts, witches, police officers, firefighters, and several other characters were wandering around the downtown area collecting candy and books. Children were able to select a used book at Piece of Cake, as well as the Le Mars Public Library. Several of the town’s banks were located at the Olson Cultural Events Center passing out some treats.
