Lawrence “Duane” Coon, 87, of Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Akron, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at his home in Le Mars.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Preston Township, rural Akron, Iowa. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. Military honors will be provided by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.
