Wet Nose Animal Rescue Still In Need Of Additional Donations

(Le Mars) — Wet Nose animal rescue held an open house Saturday afternoon at their newly acquired facilities located near the Le Mars Municipal Airport.  Several people stopped by to tour the building.  Although the animal rescue organization now has a building, president Angel Andersen says more money is needed to complete the set-up for inside the building.

Andersen continued to explain the needs of the local animal rescue facility

Attendees visiting the open house were able to see tape that had been placed on the floor indicating where the offices, kennels, wash rack, and quarantine kennel are being proposed for the building. The animal rescue facility consists of nearly 3000 square feet of space. Andersen says she does not have a hard date in mind as to when all the state certifications will be complete, or when the animal rescue facility will be finished with the construction and installation of kennels on the inside.

Several people brought their pets to the animal rescue shelter to have photos taken with Santa Claus.

The Wet Nose animal rescue official says she isn’t certain as to how many dogs and cats the building will be able to accommodate.  She says it will depend on the final floor spacing.  If anyone wishes to donate items or money to the Wet Nose animal rescue organization, simply mail your contributions to P.O Box 454, Le Mars, Iowa, or they can contact Andersen at (712) 540-5919.
