A sold-out crowd attended the Wine & Chocolate fundraiser in Le Mars Thursday evening benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. The event featured silent and live auctions, and a five-course meal paired with phenomenal wines. One of the highlights was the auction of a live painting of John Wayne by Jonas Lynch. This item received the high bid of the night reaching $6500. Jeff Peters served as master of ceremonies for the evening and Randy Stabe was the auctioneer.
The family of Steven and Dr. Liz Groetken served as host family for the Le Mars event in honor of the memory of Michael Groetken.
