Plymouth County Conservation Foundation Dinner and FUNdraiser

The Plymouth County Conservation Foundation Elk Auction and, Elk Burger Dinner FUNdraising was held on Thursday, September 7 at Hillview Recreation Area in Hinton.

A free will offering dinner was held serving grilled elk burgers, sponsored by Primebank sides and Wise I serving beer. A silent auction and Raffle off a Henry Rifle, sponsored by Total Motors. was held, following a live auction with Brock Auction lead by Bruce Brock. On the live auction first was two young bull elk yearlings, purchased by Pat Pridie and Joel Vondrak each sold for $600.00. Next was the bull elk which has been at Hillview since 2009.   Together JC Fischer Enterprises (Jay Fischer & Christopher Fischer) and Brock Auction Co. (Bruce & Teri Brock, Brian Rubus, Austin Popken) made the final auction bid at $7,000.00.  Kyle Schlesser Taxidermy has donated his service to mount the bull elk head, as JC Fischer Enterprises and Brock Auction have donated the mount back to the Plymouth Count Conservation to be displayed next to the other 2 bulls on display. A three year old bull has been purchased and will be arriving in a few weeks to replace the bull just auctioned.
