Thomas “Tom” Niehus, 63, died March 3, 2024 in Roswell, GA. He grew up in LeMars, Iowa and graduated from Gehlen Catholic School in 1979. He then attended the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1985. Tom achieved many of his goals including passing the Certified Public Accounting exam.
After working for several companies, he began working for BellSouth Mobility in 1996 in Atlanta and continued working for Cingular Wireless and AT&T in many roles in both Accounting and Finance IT. He decided to retire on June 30, 2021 after 25 years.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Walter (Wally) and Rita (Rolfes) Niehus. He is survived by his wife Angela and sons Justin Semon (Courtney), Keegan and Everleigh; Kyle Semon, Bryson and Jaxon; and stepson Kyle Gorecki (Marissa Kopacz). His siblings Ken (Mary) of LeMars, IA, his sister Rose Hanson of Des Moines, IA, Gerry (Monika) of Hesperia, CA, Dan (Renee) of Castle Rock, CO, Doug of LeMars, IA and Mark (Karla) of Prosper, TX and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a viewing on March 16, 2024 from 1-3pm and from 5-7pm at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, GA and a viewing on March 17, 2024 at 1 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 pm also at Northside Chapel.
