YEAR OF THE MUSTANG COMES TO LE MARS
A Utah man who is traveling across 25 states with his two horses in a project called “Year of the Mustang” will be coming through Le Mars this week. Jake Harvath is on a mission to bring attention to wild horse adoption.
He is traveling with two horses, named Denver and Eddie, on the longest continuous horse pack trip ever attempted in a single year.
He expects to get to Le Mars sometime Wednesday evening. Stu and Karla Dekkenga of Le Mars have been helping by arranging housing. Harvath says he averages 20 miles per day on this journey.
