Foundation Looking for an Executive Director

 

A Le Mars non-profit organization is looking for an Executive Director.  Hometown Le Mars Heritage Foundation says its mission is to attract visitors to Le Mars and deliver experiences that delight the community and make everyone want to come back for more.

 

The Executive Director would oversee organizational operations, ensure financial sustainability, and promote tourism to the city of Le Mars. The job description includes overseeing financial operations, organizational development, and Hometown Le Mars Heritage Foundation’s long-term sustainability and growth.

Le Mars Golf Course Remains Closed

 

The Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars remains closed as clean-up continues following the flooding.  No re-opening date has been set at last report.  The driving range will also be closed until the course re-opens.  The walking trail around the golf course has several areas of mud and water, making it unsafe for bikes or walkers.

 

 

Big Daddy Retires

 

A Sioux City radio personality is leaving the airwaves.  Denny Anderson, known as “Big Daddy” is retiring from his position as morning host of KLEM’s sister station Classic Rock 99.5.  With a wealth of musical knowledge, Big Daddy has been entertaining listeners, since the early 2000’s, back when the station was known as KOOL 99.5

 

Anderson announced his retirement a few weeks ago at Saturday in the Park and will have his final broadcast (today) Saturday, Aug. 2, at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s Anthem stage from 3 till 6 p.m.
