A annual walk in support of suicide prevention in the Siouxland area is being held this upcoming weekend. Le Mars resident Dan Lehmann, who lost his son to suicide, will be walking in the event this Saturday.
At least 90 participants will walk in the event, with over $4,500 raised as of Monday evening. Out of the Darkness is a nationwide event, with walks taking place in 300 communities over the next several weeks. Donations will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Lehmann says that anyone can join his team for the walk.
