Sergeant John Runcie (L4R), 78, of Le Mars, Iowa, died Monday, November 10, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s-Downtown, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Le Mars Bible Church in Le Mars. Pastor Fred Gum and Pastor Mike Hulinsky will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. and following the services during a time of lunch and fellowship, all at the church. Arrangements are with the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made to the Le Mars Bible Church and the Le Mars Senior Center.
