Le Mars Sportsman’s Club donates to Rock Valley Gun Club

The Le Mars Sportsman’s Club announced last week that they’ve donated $500 to the Rock Valley Gun Club. The gun club suffered losses and damage after flooding in June of 2024.

Proceeds raised came from the Northwest Iowa Zone Shoot held at the Le Mars Sportsman’s Club back in June of 2025. The shoot was originally supposed to be held at the Rock Valley Gun Club, but due to circumstances the Sportsman’s Club hosted the event and split the profits with Rock Valley.

Siouxland Home Show takes place this weekend

The 69th annual Siouxland Home Show began yesterday morning at the Seaboard Triumph Foods Expo Center in Sioux City.

Terri Schelm of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Siouxland says this year’s show has more vendors and things to see and do than ever before.

One area in particular has some extra features this year.

There are some features that children and their parents will have fun with too.

With all of that though, it is the Home Show, so if you are looking to improve your dwelling with a new roof or windows, need an air conditioning upgrade or anything else home related, you will be in the right place.

There’s also hourly door prizes every day including a $569 Builders Bucks certificate that can be spent with any Home Show vendor or member. The Home Show is open today from 10am till 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
