The Le Mars Community girls golf team continued their run of dominance with another meet win on Tuesday at Willow Creek Golf Course.
The Bulldogs scored a 175 in the nine-hole meet with everyone posting a score under 50 for the first timed under head coach Dave Irwin. Coach Irwin says Skov and Kynlee Schmidt may get a lot of recognition, but he is liking that low scores are coming from the entire roster.
A decent number of Bulldog golfers play other sports in the spring making practicing to get better challenging. Coach Irwin says he puts the responsibility on the players to get better and practice when they can.
The Bulldogs are playing some of their best golf at a great time, but it is important to stay collected throughout the remainder of the season. Coach Irwin says maintaining a level composure will take his team a long way.
Le Mars will continue the season with their annual Girls Invitational also at Willow Creek Golf Course on Friday this week. Coach Irwin says it is going to be another great opportunity for his team to get better and improve heading into the back end of the season.
The golfers will tee off at noon at Willow Creek Golf Course on Friday, April 24 for the Le Mars Girls Invitational.
