Wheels for Warriors
The second annual Wheels for Warriors charity car cruise takes place this Saturday (September 22) leaving from the fairgrounds in Le Mars at 1 p.m.
Organizer Andrea Britt says vehicles can line up starting at 12:30 Saturday.

All kinds of vehicles are encouraged to take part in the event.

The route travels from Le Mars to Sutherland and Alton, ending in Remsen.

Britt told KLEM she has a personal connection that spurred her to help organize the event that benefits the Support Siouxland Soldiers organization.

Let There Be Light Beer Festival
Wise I Brewing Company is hosting the second annual Let There Be Light beer festival Saturday at the Olson Cultural Event Center in Le Mars
Ben Sitzmann says festival’s unique focus is on lower-alcohol beers that don’t compromise on flavor, character, or craft
Sitzmann says an after party is planned at Wise I immediately following the festival.
He says the craft beer business is a collaborative industry.
Sitzmann told KLEM that Wise I Brewing Company is working on expanding their business.
The festival runs from noon till 3:30 on Saturday with VIP admission at noon and General admission at 1 p.m.
Walk for the Future
This weekend also features the “Walk for the Future” event on Saturday (August 22) benefitting the Iowa SIDS Foundation. It’s being held at the Le Mars Municipal Park Shelter House near the Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars
Organizer Alyssa Bendickson says registration begins at 8:30 Saturday morning.
A short program and balloon release will kick off the walk at 9:45.
Bendickson says the cause is very personal to both her and many of the committee members.
Lunch will be provided for participants by the Plymouth County Pork Producers, Hy-Vee, and Wells Enterprises following the walk.
