Governor Reynolds Visits Flooded Areas and Train Derailment Site

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg listen to flood victims while visiting the northwest Iowa flood regions and the BNSF train derailment.

(Rock Valley) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R) visited the flooded ares of northwest Iowa Saturday afternoon.  Reynolds, along with Lt. Governor Adam Gregg and Iowa Homeland Security Acting Director Joyce Flinn first viewed the community of Rock Valley.  Reynolds met with the Rock Valley Mayor, Kevin Van Otterloo and examined the areas of the flooded homes as a result of the over-flowing Rock River.  Following her visit to Rock Valley, Reynolds and other officials visited the site of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train derailment site.  Governor Reynolds spoke to the media following her tour of the train derailment site.
