(Le Mars) — Equipped with backpacks filled with notebooks, pencils, pens, paper, and other essentials, and soon to be textbooks and computer tablets, students at Le Mars Community and Gehlen Catholic returned to class today. At both high schools, sidewalk chalk art had welcoming messages for the students. At the elementary schools parents were seen taking photos of their children as they begin another year of schooling.
