(Le Mars) — U-S Senator Joni Ernst made a stop in Le Mars Tuesday morning as part of her 99-county tour.  Ernst toured the Brown Century Theater and listened to Andrew Brown tell of the family’s reasons for wanting to establish their own theater.  Ernst discussed COVID-19 and how the pandemic has hurt small businesses.  Ernst believes Congress and the Senate may indeed pass another COVID-19 relief bill.

Also attending the meeting were Former State Representative, Ralph Klemme; Le Mars Mayor, Dick Kirchoff; State Representative, Dr. Tom Jeneary; and State Senator, Jim Carlin.  Most of the conversation focused on coronavirus, China, and small businesses, like The Browns, and how they have been  affected by the worldwide pandemic.
