Plymouth County man gets Chamber job

(SIOUX CITY)–The new leader for the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and Siouxland Initiative is homegrown.

A nationwide search ended with today’s announcement that Chris McGowan is the new president of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and Siouxland Initiative.
McGowan was described by Search Committee member Greg Grupp as homegrown, passionate about Siouxland and has demonstrated the leadership skills necessary to serve the regional business community as well as quality of life initiatives. McGowan is a Sioux City native.
McGowan fills a vacancy created when Debi Durham resigned to accept a position at Iowa Department of Economic Development Director.
McGowan lives in southern Plymouth County.
