Elsie Frerichs, 95, of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Akron Care Center in Akron. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston Township, rural Akron, Iowa. Minister Joel Nye will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, with the family present after 5:00 p.m., and a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa.
