Memorial Day Program At the County Courthouse

(Le Mars) — 1201 names of past veterans were read by Pat Murphy Monday morning as part of the Memorial Day program held at the Plymouth County Courthouse, and hosted by the Wasmer Post #241 American Legion.  Cloudy skies were overhead, but the morning rain had stopped in time for the program to be held at the courthouse lawn.  Hundred of people viewed the solemn patriotic theme program as this year, 28 new names were added to the growing list of veterans, who had at one time, served this nation, either through the National Guard, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Army.  Many of the new dedications were done by family members who presented a U-S flag in honor of a loved one.
