(Le Mars) — A two-vehicle accident occurred Sunday morning at about 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Plymouth Street (Highway 3) and 5th Avenue (Business Highway 75), near Bob’s Drive In. The vehicles collided in a “t-bone” impact at the side of the driver’s door. The accident caused air bags in both cars to be deployed. The Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department responded to the accident scene and had to use the “Jaws of Life” to help extricate the driver from one of the cars. The driver of the other vehicle was able to free herself from the accident. The Le Mars Ambulance Service also responded to the scene and transported one of the accident victims to the Floyd Valley Hospital. The Le Mars Police is investigating the accident.
