(Hinton) — Several hundred people took advantage of the nice weather on Sunday to get in touch with nature and wildlife, by visiting the Hillview Park and Recreation area located west of Hinton on County Road C-60. The Plymouth County Conservation Board hosted the event to call attention to the park’s golden anniversary, and to share with the people the park’s many features, which included tours through the winding trails, a view of the park’s elk herd, and the opportunity to take either a canoe or kayak ride on the park’s pond. Several silent auction items and exhibits were on display inside the Dennis L. Sohl Center for Outdoor Learning.
