An Evening with Dr. Seuss Saturday

(Le Mars)– The Le Mars Community Theatre will be hosting “An Evening with Dr. Seuss” this Saturday to celebrate what is often called Dr. Seuss Month. (As Seuss’ birthday is March 2nd.) Schools and libraries across the country take time in March to read and study this man, whose writing has probably influenced all of us at some point in life.

The Le Mars Community Theatre will also have some time for attendees to check out books with help from The Le Mars Public Library, who is co-hosting the event. Library personnel will be onsite with Dr. Seuss favorites, so bring your library card and come a little early to snag your favorite.  The theatre will also have some Dr. Seuss props for fun family photo opportunities. There will be cookies from Piece of Cake Bakery after the show.
The performance will start at 6:30 and the cost is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under.  Seating is limited and will be first come, first served.
In addition to the Seuss performance on Saturday, there is an Actors Workshop being hosted by Mr Hudson at the theatre, and organizers say it’s not to late to join in.  Go to www.lemarslive.org for details and to register.  Times for the 3 day workshop are 7-9 this evening (Friday), 11-5 on Saturday and 11-4 Sunday.
