(Washington) — Republican U-S Senator Chuck Grassley took time from his busy schedule to grant KLEM radio of Le Mars an exclusive interview during his weekly news media conference. Grassley addressed the issues pertaining to the removal of the U-S military from Afghanistan and the consequences from that action. Grassley spoke of how Iowans would react to having Afghan refugees being placed in Iowa. The Republican Senator also discussed the problems on the southern border with so many non-documented immigrants coming to the United States in masses. Grassley briefly touched on the state’s proposed redistricting map as presented by the Legislative Services Agency. The entire conversation lasted approximately ten minutes.
