SIXTH GENERATION HAIRCUT
Don Curry of Le Mars recently was able to cut the hair of Henry Lee Schipper (age 1) at the Fire Station in Le Mars.
Curry, who used to own the barbershop on Central Ave near the old VanderMeer Bakery and the Corner Shop on Central Ave and 1st Street NE, is retired.
However, for the opportunity of a lifetime and his career, Don recently came out of retirement for one more cut of a Schipper family members hair.
This would be the sixth generation of a Schipper family member to have their haircut by Don Curry.
Don has cut the following Schipper’s hair spanning over 65 years and six generations:
Wayne Schipper Sr.
Lee Schipper (Wayne Sr. Son)
Wayne Schipper Jr. (Lee’s Son)
David Schipper (Wayne Jr. Son)
Devan Schipper (David’s Son)
Henry Schipper (Devan’s Son)
