The Hinton girls track and field team took the top spot in their home meet on Thursday night in Hinton.
After weather impacted the Blackhawk Relays in years past, head coach Robin Mohr says it was great to be able to compete on the home track once again.
The Blackhawks were spurred in large part by Addison Dunkel who had a win in three different events for the Blackhawks. Coach Mohr says she has continued to get better, and the results are showing on the time sheet.
Hinton was also aided by some good field event performances even without Morgan Divis who was in Des Moines for the Drake Relays. Coach Mohr says he was proud of what they accomplished.
Time is starting to run down on the season, and the Blackhawks are looking to keep improving with the meets getting more and more important. Coach Mohr says continuing to refine the work at this point is important.
Hinton competes next on Tuesday at a meet hosted by Lawton-Bronson.
