Grand Meadow Festival Celebrates 50 Years of Fun
The Grand Meadow Heritage Festival- Washta, Iowa- is celebrating 50 years of festival fun this year. The annual event is set for September 12th and 13th.
Event Coordinator Bethany Grell says the Heritage Festival features great food, live demonstrations, a car and tractor show, over 50 local vendors, and much more.
She says this year also will showcase the “Symbol of Freedom Exhibit”- a stand-alone traveling exhibit.

Chamber Brunch & Learn Planned for September
The Le Mars Area of Commerce will offer another “Brunch & Learn” presentation in September. The session will focus on artificial intelligence and learning a simple framework for using AI more effectively.
This is being offered on Thursday, September 24th, in collaboration with Western Iowa Tech. It is designed for business owners, leaders, and professionals wanting to learn how AI can help save time, improve everyday tasks, and support better thinking.
The “Brunch & Learn” is scheduled from 9 until 10 a.m. . and will be presented by Carmen Wilson, Dean of Corporate College at Western Iowa Tech Community College.
Participants will leave with practical ideas they can put to work right away, and no AI expertise is required.
Doors for the event open at 8:30 a.m. at the WIT Le Mars Campus on Business Highway 75 North in Le Mars.
