(OYENS)–A fresh look to the centerpiece of a display at St. Catherine’s Cemetery was recognized in Oyens on Memorial Day.
One of the new flags added to the annual Memorial Day display was dedicated by the family of Ron Burkhard.
The program marked the dedication of Aaron Ruden’s Boy Scout project which included landscaping around the flag pole and painting the flag pole. Ruden, a member of Boy Scout Troop 188, was joined by family and Scout leaders.
Bob Gengler served as Master of Ceremonies for the Memorial Day program that was offered in Oyens and Remsen by the Remsen VFW and American Legion Color Guard.
