(ORANGE CITY) — The last of four saturation projects in Sioux County starts tomorrow at
noon on highway 75 south. During the last phase, that took place near Rock Valley, 84
citations were written and 163 warnings were given over a two day period. 77 of those
warnings were repair memos. According to Chief Deputy Jason Bergsma, the Sioux County
Sheriffs office wasn’t happy about the level of collisions and death on their roadways
so they came up with the saturation projects as an effort to keep people safe.
The patrol project is being conducted in association with the Iowa State Patrol and the
states Department of Motor Vehicle Enforcement. Again the last phase of the Sioux County
summer highway saturation project is tomorrow, Friday August 26th from 12 noon through
9pm.
