David Hawkins, 73, rural Orange City, Iowa, passed away suddenly Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Seney United Methodist Church, Seney, Iowa with Reverend Don Nelson officiating. Interment will be at the Seney Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Wasmer American Legion Post #241 of Le Mars. Visitations with the family present will be after 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.
