(Le Mars) –– The early rising sun glare may be partially responsible for an accident that occurred at about 7:30 Saturday morning. A pick up truck carrying construction equipment rear ended a semi tanker trailer owned by Anthony P and L trucking firm of Le Mars. The accident happened at the junction of County Road C-38 and Lake Avenue, near the Anthony trucking firm headquarters. The 5,000 gallon stainless steel tanker was empty during the collision. The pick up truck’s front end was totally damaged. The pick up had the driver and two passengers. One passenger sustained injuries and was transported to the Floyd Valley Hospital by the Le Mars Ambulance. The names of the drivers and injured victim have not been released. The accident is under investigation by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s office.
