SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Colin Kaepernick (KAP’-ur-nik) completed 16
of his 23 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns as the Niners
blasted the Chicago Bears 32-7. Kaepernick hit Vernon Davis and
Michael Crabtree for short TDs while San Francisco was building a
27-0 lead. Bears quarterback Jason Campbell was 14-of-22 for just
107 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions and five sacks.

(HINTON) — The Hinton Blackhawks opened the game with a 22-0 run and went on to beat the Le Mars Lady Bulldogs 91-64 Tuesday night in a girls basketball opener in Hinton. Le Mars did close to within nine points late in the first half before trailing by 14 at the halftime break. Hinton never allowed Le Mars to get closer than 11 in the second half and led by as many as 30 points in the fourth quarter. Junior standouts Shaeler Lund and Lauren Hedlund combined for 49 points for the Blackhawks with Lund leading the way with 29. Alex Yoerger also had 20 for Hinton and Sadie Shuck added 15. Mary Kate Eckstaine, coming back from knee surgery, led Le Mars with 17 points with Carolyn Ahlers adding another ten. Emily Pick had nine. Le Mars travels to Unity Christian next Tuesday while Hinton plays at Spirit Lake Tuesday night.

GRINNELL, Iowa (AP) – Jack Taylor shattered the NCAA scoring
record with 138 points in Division III Grinnell’s 179-104 victory
over Faith Baptist Bible last night. Taylor made 52 of 108 shots
from the field, including 27 3-pointers. Rio Grande’s Bevo Francis
set the previous NCAA mark with 113 points in 1954.

with 35 points in the second quarter — including three touchdowns
in 52 seconds — and routed the New York Jets 49-19 for their fifth
straight victory. That’s the 200th victory for Bill Belichick, who
is the eighth NFL coach with at least 200 wins.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – It’s back-to-back four touchdown passing
games for sensational Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Robert
Griffin III. The rookie out of Baylor returned to his native Texas
and led the underdog Redskins to a 38-31 win over Dallas, their
first win in seven Thanksgiving Day games against the Cowboys.
DETROIT (AP) – Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz is taking the
blame for breaking an NFL rule on a scoring play that was costly to
his team in the Houston Texans’ 34-31 overtime victory yesterday.
Schwartz threw a challenge flag that negated the automatic review
and was called for unsportsmanlike conduct.
