(Le Mars) — The new store Sugar-N-Spice is adding a little bit of sassy sweetness to the
clothing options for kids in Le Mars. Le Mars native and mommy of two, Jill Mescher, has
opened the store which is located on Plymouth Street across from Close to Home and adjacent
to the new Bad Habit Boutique. Their slogan sums up their product lines nicely… “Your
belly. Your baby. Your style.”
Why a kids and maternity clothing store? Jill said she saw the need and wanted to go for
it.

The apparel in Sugar-N-Spice is selected by Jill at markets in Minneapolis and Chicago, she
also orders from labels in Los Angeles. The goal of the store is to offer a little
something special and unique for little ones to wear, size 0 to 6x. Jill typically only
orders each type of outfit in one or two of each size, which means not every baby on the
block will be wearing it.
Jill says the name of the store came out of a family brainstorm.

Sugar-N-Spice is now open downtown Le Mars: Tuesday 10-5:30, Wednesday 10-8, Thursday &
Friday 10-5:30 and Saturday 9-3.
