(Le Mars) — Hundreds of children stood on the sidewalk that surrounds Cleveland Park this morning, anxiously awaiting for several minutes for the sound of a siren giving them the go signal to collect the thousands of colored plastic eggs scattered across the park grounds. However, what the children didn’t realize is when they heard a siren from a police squad car, it wasn’t meant to be the start of the annual Easter egg hunt, it was in fact the police officer responding to an emergency. Never-the-less the children reacted without hesitation and dashed across the park lawn gathering the Easter eggs and placing them in their baskets, bags, or buckets. Brad Pick of Primebank calls the event a success.

This was Primebank’s, along with The Education Station, first time of sponsoring the annual Easter hunt, and Picks says they are ready to do it again next year.

Each of the 10,000 plus eggs were filled with either candy or a coupon from a local business.
