(Le Mars) — The Le Mars Police Department is looking for the suspect who robbed the Le Mars Walmart store early Thursday morning. Police were called to the Walmart store located on Holton Drive at about 2:00 a.m. for a robbery. The police has issued a photo of the male suspect. He is reported to be a white male standing between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet eight inches tall, medium build, light colored hair, wearing a ball cap and a long-sleeve black t-shirt with red printing on the front approached an employee claiming to be armed with a knife and forcing the employee to open the safe. The suspect fled the scene in a light colored four-door passenger car heading south on Highway 75. There were no injuries reported, and an unknown amount of cash was stolen.
